GOJHL Announces Regular Season Schedule

Welland, ON (July 31, 2023) – The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) announced the regular season schedule for the 2023-2024 season.

The Jr. Canadians will open the season with a three-in-three weekend. Beginning on Sept. 15, the team will play against the Pelham Panthers, before hitting the road on Sept. 16 to match up with the Caledonia Corvairs. The weekend culminates on Sept. 17 with the home opener against Port Colborne Sailors.

The next weekend, from the Sept. 22 to Sept. 24, an interlock extravaganza will take place, as all teams from all three GOJHL conferences will meet in Elmira for the league’s showcase tournament. The team will play Brantford Bandits on Sept. 22 and the Cambridge Red Hawks on Sept. 24.

Out-of-conference regular season games will also return. The Jr. Canadians will travel to Strathroy, Komoka and London, and will welcome Caledon, St. Mary’s and St. Thomas to the King Street Ice Palace.

As always, all home games for the Jr. Canadians will take place on Sunday Nights at 7 p.m. The lone exception is our Super Bowl Sunday Matinee game on Feb. 11, which will begin at 1:30 p.m. We will also have two Wednesday night games that will take place Sept. 27 and Dec. 20, both of which will begin at 7:30 p.m.

“The schedule being released is a sign that we’re closer to hockey season,” said General Manager Lou Savona. “We’re looking forward to a great year with conference counterparts and interlock organizations.”
