2021/2022 Player Signings

The Welland Jr. Canadians are excited to begin announcing player signings for the 2021/2022 season.


Welcome back, Chase Johnson. The third-year player recorded 8 points in 12 games for the Jr. Canadians during the 2019/2020 season. “Chase is the type of player that excuses passion, energy and will. He leads by example and is going to be a great leader and mentor for our young players” – Coach Burkholder.

Welcome, Andrew Miele. “Andrew is a big and strong versatile defenseman. He will be counted on in all situations for us and is a welcome addition to our backend” – Coach Burkholder.

Welcome, Carson Trevisani. “Carson has been a bundle of energy since the first time he stepped on our ice. His speed and tenacity will make him hard to play against in our league. Glad he is on our side” – Coach Burkholder.

Welcome, Lucas Romeo. “Lucas Romeo will be a prototypical power forward with a goal-scorers touch around the net. He was a special find for us and we look forward to watching him mature and develop” – Coach Burkholder.

Welcome back, James Gowland. The Cayuga native joined the Jr. Canadians for the last 15 games of the 2019/2020 season, in which he recorded four points.

Welcome back, Justin Vermeulen. The Selkirk native returns to the team after recording three goals and four assists during the 2019/2022 season.
